Achates
|
In Roman mythology, Achates was a close friend of Aeneas. He accompanied him throughout his adventures, and led him to the Sibyl of Cumae, remarkable for, and a perennial type of, fidelity.
Virgil I, 188, 312; VI, 34, 158.
