A League of Their Own

A League of Their Own is a 1992 movie which tells a fictionalized account of the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. It was adapted by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel from a story by Kim Wilson and Kelly Candaele, and was directed by Penny Marshall.
It stars Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna, Lori Petty, Jon Lovitz, David Strathairn, Garry Marshall, Bill Pullman, Megan Cavanagh and Rosie O'Donnell.
The character of "Jimmy Dugan", the team manager played by Tom Hanks, is loosely based on real-life baseball player Jimmie Foxx. All of the actresses did their own baseball playing -- they did not have stunt doubles.
