Rainbow Concert (1972) | 461 Ocean Boulevard (1974) | There's One in Every Crowd (1975) |
461 Ocean Boulevard is a 1974 (see 1974 in music) album by blues rocker Eric Clapton. His first album after quitting heroin and his second after the dissolution of Derek & the Dominoes, Clapton was under a lot of pressure during the recording of 461 Ocean Boulevard. He succeeded though, and the album received rave reviews upon its release. Though some noted the lack of experimentation and a perceived stagnation in his growth as an artist, listeners and many critics sincerely enjoyed the record.
Deluxe Edition 461 Ocean Boulevard was rematered and a second disc included in the packaging, featuring a live concert with various "jam" sessions. The first disc also included a few new added tracks, all live which were recorded at Hammersmith Concert Hall (formally the Hammersmith Odeon).
