Hello and welcome! Nice work in the physics area. Cheers! --mav 11:09 Jan 22, 2003 (UTC) see talk on 04 presSmith03 00:43, 18 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Hi Mcarling :) I hope you like the place and choose to stay.

Some links that may be of use:

You may want to look at Wikipedia:Disambiguation. What I've done for now is just put both people on the same page at James Gray for now. They can be further disambig-ged in future, if needed.

Thanks for the informative comment you left on my talk page. You may want to add some of it to Jim Jeffords. You can sign your name with ~~~~. Cheers, Jiang

What is the difference between a Third Party and a Minor Party? How do you know that the Greens or the Libertarians will come third or fourth or 26th in any given Senate race? I would have thought they are all Minor Parties. Cheers Adam 13:34, 17 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Regarding Camejo, both of the following sites lead me to believe he's interested. Do you have a reference that he conclusively dropped out in December?

Mcarling,

I've deleted an entry of yours on the U.S. Presidential election, 2004 - please check that out, and if we need to, we can come up with compromise language. - Scooter 22:02, 16 Feb 2004 (UTC)

The language is at Talk:U.S. Presidential election, 2004. - Scooter 21:55, 22 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Mcarling,

I was the one who modified the Wiki LP page to include a link to the FSP.

Your reason for deletion is correct: FSP is not associated with the LP. However, neither are at least two other external links.

Some reasons to support my change: The FSP links to the LP page. The goals of the FSP and the LP largly overlap.

Possibly a link to the Wiki FSP page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_state_project - Brer Vole 22:56, 2 Sept 2004 (UTC)

Your article on Michael Colley appears to be taken from the LP National Convention website (http://www.lpconvention.org/colley.shtml), which shows "Copyright © 2004 Libertarian National Party. All Rights Reserved." Do we have some kind of permission to use this material. - Nat Krause 18:08, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)

As long as you find the right person to get permission from and make it clear to them what they are agreeing to, I think there are no other requirements. For more information and suggestions see Wikipedia:Copyrights and especially Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission. - Nat Krause 06:47, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)

List of United States Senators

Please don't update List of United States Senators until the next Congress. The members you deleted are still Senators, the ones you added are not yet Senators. RickK 21:50, Nov 7, 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit&section=new)| talk)
