Population 250,000? Isn't Walsall much smaller than Wolverhampton, which has a population of about that?
- The 2001 census says Walsall has a population of 253499 [1] (http://www.statistics.gov.uk/census2001/pyramids/pages/00cu.asp). While Wolverhampton is listed as 236582 [2] (http://www.statistics.gov.uk/census2001/pyramids/pages/00cw.asp). -- Popsracer 22:02, 20 Oct 2003 (UTC)
Walsall borough has a larger population and land area than Wolverhampton, but Walsall borough includes the fiercely independant towns of Willenhall, Darlaston, Bloxwich, Aldridge and Brownhills, as well as the town of Walsall itself.
