Incomplete - What about the madness???
Something should be said about the theory that he suffered from madness neer the end of his life. One could also mention the beleifs of the Druze people.

"hakim" does not mean 'ruler'. although the word has been used as a title of position, it is best translated as 'wise' or 'judge'.
