Worcester Agricultural Fairgrounds

The Worcester Agricultural Fairgrounds was a plot of land of 20 acres (80,000 m²) in Worcester, Massachusetts in the 19th century. It was the home of a horse trotting track and an agricultural fair, but it is best remembered for being the ballpark of the National League's Worcester Worcesters from 1880 to 1882. Some references refer to it as the 'Agricultural County Fair Grounds.'
During a game on June 12, 1880, Worcesters pitcher John Lee Richmond threw the first perfect game in major league history. The fairgrounds also hosted one game for the Boston Red Stockings of the National Association in 1874.
The fairgrounds were bounded by Highland, Sever, Cedar, and Agricultural streets. Today, this plot is home to many homes and businesses, as well as to Becker College.
