Woodford County is a county located in the state of Illinois. As of 2000, the population is 35,469. Its county seat is Eureka, Illinois6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,406 km² (543 mi²). 1,367 km² (528 mi²) of it is land and 38 km² (15 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 2.73% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 35,469 people, 12,797 households, and 9,802 families residing in the county. The population density is 26/km² (67/mi²). There are 13,487 housing units at an average density of 10/km² (26/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 98.47% White, 0.25% Black or African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.65% from two or more races. 0.68% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
