William Brockman Bankhead (April 12, 1874 - September 15, 1940) was an American politician from Alabama. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1917 until his death and as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1936 until his death. He was a member of the Democratic Party.
He was the father of actress Tallulah Bankhead,and Senators John H. Bankhead and John H. Bankhead II were his father and brother respectively.
