White Chicks is a 2004 American comedy film directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans and written by Keenen, Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans. The plot essential begins with two disgraced black FBI agents (Shawn and Marlon Wayans) go undercover in an effort to protect cruise line heiresses Brittany and Tiffany Wilson (parodying Paris and Nicky Hilton) from a kidnapping plot. They dress up as white girls.
The movie was criticized by many audiences for its unconvincing prosthetic makeup and un-realistic plot, particularly the premise the two characters could fool many long time associates of the Wilson Sisters despite not knowing much about them. It contains many stereotypes and many found the premise particularly racist, countering a hypothetical movie premise with the reverse (white men posing as 'black chicks') would be just as offensive but not well received at all. This would then be countered with invocation of the movie Soul Man. The debate would then typically commence going in circles.
