West Hampstead railway station
|
There are three railway stations called West Hampstead in West Hampstead, North West London within a short walk of each other.
West Hampstead Silverlink is on the North London Line, between Brondesbury and Finchley Road & Frognal. It is in zone 2.
The station and all trains are operated by Silverlink, and the normal service is one train in each direction every 15 minutes.
Anglia Railways used to run a service which called at this station, between Norwich and Basingstoke, but this was discontinued in Autumn 2002, due to congestion on the North London Line and less than forecast financial receipts.
West Hampstead Thameslink is on the Thameslink line.
West Hampstead tube station is on the Jubilee Line - see separate article.
Interchange between any of the three stations needs to be made via the street - the stations are all on West End Lane. Interchange on a single ticket is allowed between any of the three stations - for example from Richmond to St Albans, one valid route is to change here.
