The Wattled Crane (Bugeranus carunculatus) is a bird in the crane family Gruidae. It is the only member of the genus Bugeranus (Gloger, 1842).
It is the largest and rarest of the crane species in Africa. It occurs in Eastern and Southern Africa.
Wattled Cranes are endangered because of their need for large, undisturbed wetland territories.
