Warren Jeffs is the self-described Prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While they claim to hold to the traditional form of Mormonism, the largest group of Mormons, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (based in Salt Lake City, Utah) does not consider them to be part of the church at all.
Jeffs has been charged with sex crimes for arranging the marriage between a teenage girl and a 28 year old man who was already married. He was charged with conspiracy to commit sexual conduct with a minor. He faces his charges in Mohave County, Arizona.
