WSVH-FM

WSVH is a 100,000 watt radio station broadcasting out of Savannah, Georgia at 91.1 FM. The station's signal is repeated by WWIO-FM (88.9 FM) in Brunswick, Georgia and WWIO-AM (1190 AM) in St. Mary's, Georgia. Together, the three stations serve the entire Georgia coastline. Their signals can be heard from Hilton Head, South Carolina to Jacksonville, Florida. The station is an affiliate of the Georgia Public Broadcasting radio network. The station has been on the air since April 20, 1981. The first song played on the station was Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man. In 1997, the station moved its studio to the world famous Skidaway Institute Of Oceanography on Skidaway Island just south of Savannah. The station plays mostly Classical music, Jazz, and news from National Public Radio.
