Vita

Vita can refer to a number of things:
- Vita can refer to the female rapper. Look below.
- Vita (from the Latin word for "life") can also refer to a brief biography, often that of a saint (i.e. a hagiography). One can expect a vita to unfold its story gradually according to a set pattern.
- Often the term vita means a curriculum vitae. Through ignorance of Latin it is in recent decades incorrectly called a "vitae" or a "curriculum vita".
- Vita is also the Modern Greek name for the letter beta.
- VITA is the brand name of beverages in Hong Kong. For details, see the article for "Vitasoy".
Vita (rapper)
Vita (real name Lavita Rayer) is a female rapper currently under The Black Wall Street Records and formerly under Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. Through her sister Kima Raynor, Vita has had ties to Bad Boy Records. Kima was a member of Bad Boy's R&B trio Total.
Featured appearances
- Mobb Deep's "Burn"
- N.E.R.D.'s (The Neptunes) debut single, "Lapdance"
- Ja Rule's singles "Down 4 U" and "Put It On Me"
- The Murder Inc. Remix of Faith Evans' "Good Life," which appeared on the soundtrack to The Fast and the Furious
Vita also contributed a song to that soundtrack, a hip hop version of Madonna's controversial hit, "Justify My Love", which featured Ashanti and was set to be Vita's debut solo single, until it was poorly received.
Vita can also be seen in a cameo in Ashanti's debut solo video, "Foolish".
