In the fictional Star Trek universe, Bareil Antos was a Bajoran Vedek. He appeared in the series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He was played by Philip Anglim.
Bareil became romantically involved with Major Kira Nerys of the Deep Space Nine space station. He once ran against Kai Winn for the role of Kai. Bareil was later killed in a shuttle explosion.
In the mirrior universe, Antos Bareil was nothing more than a petty theif but he was close to intendent Kira. When he went over to the regular universe he had sex with major Kira and tried to steal an orbe.
