Band Information
V is a UK five-piece boy band consisting of:
- Aaron Buckingham, (born 7 July 1983)
- Antony Brant, (born 18 January 1983)
- Kevin McDaid, (born 7 March 1984)
- Leon Pisani, (born 25 December 1985)
- Mark Harle, (born 8 November 1983)
The band member Antony came up with the band name V because there are five members in the band and V is the Roman numeral for fire. V made their debut supporting, along with McFly, Busted's arena tour in the spring of 2004.
Singles
Their first single "Blood Sweat & Tears" released on the 24th May 2004 went into the official UK singles chart at number 6. The video was shot in Miami in February 2004 and the single contained a collaboration with their friends McFly, called "Chills in the Evening" written by Tom Fletcher from McFly and James Bourne from Busted.
The band's second single, released on the 9th August 2004, was a double A-side consisting of a new song "Hip To Hip" and a cover of the Jackson Five's song "Can You Feel It" and charted at number 5 in the UK official singles chart. The third single, "You Stood Up" only made #13 in the charts, and their debut album of the same name came after, but only reached #53 in the album charts. As a result, V were dropped by Island in 2005, and have now disbanded.
