VIA C4
|
C4 was the originally planned nomenclature for some members of the VIA C3 and VIA C7 processors. However because C4 is an explosive the name was skipped to avoid confusion. Later VIA processors used internal model names beginning with C5. In September 2004 VIA announced a change of naming policy placing all their processors in the C3 or C7 category, with an M suffix for mobile devices.
