Bio
Hello! My name is Mark Pellegrini. I'm a PhD student in Electrical and computer engineering at the University of Delaware, whence I also got my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. I'm working under Guang Gao (http://www.capsl.udel.edu/~ggao/) in CAPSL (http://www.capsl.udel.edu/), as a small worker bee for the BlueGene/C project. Our group is tasked with hardware verification testing and systems software development. I've also had some education in biomedical engineering, and I have a broad knowledge of military history (particularly 20th century).
I am the Fieldmarshal (ENTJ) (http://keirsey.com/personality/ntej.html)
Me and Wikipedia
I've been on Wikipedia a long time. I'm an administrator, a bureaucrat, and an arbitrator. I'm also the 'Featured Article Director", meaning that I choose the featured articles that you see on the main page every day (as well as promoting featured articles and in general helping to making the whole process go smoothly.)
I've been to quite a few Wikipedia meetups, and I've met a fair number of other Wikipedians. They're good people.
I've written a lot of articles - over 400, at last count. I've also taken a fair number of pictures and requested a few articles. I'm a bit of a renaissance man, in that I contribute all over wikipedia. I've written articles in many different fields, including featured articles in history, science, and literature. I think, at one point or another, I've done every task there is to do on Wikipedia, from fixing double redirects and cut-and-paste page moves to presenting a case before the arbcom and writing custom software for Wikipedia (an upload bot).
After you've been here a while, you start to notice certain trends. I've started writing them down at Raul's laws of Wikipedia, which also includes a few discovered by others.
Why this username? Long, boring story...

- As for you, Man, you will be a naked tool all your life, though a user of tools. You will look like an embryo till they bury you, but all the others will be embryos before your might. Eternally undeveloped, you will always remain potential in Our image, able to see some of Our sorrows and to feel some of Our joys. We are partly sorry for you, Man, but partly hopeful. Run along then, and do your best. And listen, Man, before you go . . .'
- " 'Well?' asked Adam, turning back from his dismissal.
- " 'We were only going to say,' said God shyly, twisting Their hands together. 'Well, We were just going to say, God bless you.'"
