MementoVivere has been a Wikipedian since May 28, 2004.
The name is derived from the Latin imperative Memento vivere, meaning "Remember to live." At first, it appears to be antithetical to Memento mori, literally translated as "Remember to die." However, as the latter means "Be mindful of dying," it can be seen that both express the theme of the admonition Carpe diem, "Seize the day."
