University of Petroleum

The University of Petroleum is a university in mainland China founded in 1953.
It has three campuses, one in Dongying City, Shandong Province, one in Changping, Beijing, and the newest at Huangdao, Shandong. The University of Petroleum, or UPC for short, is an Engineering university that specializes in petroleum-based research, including such majors as Petroleum Engineerings, Petroleum Chemistry, Geology, and Petroleum Transportation.
The university receives money from various subsiderary oil companies which operate within the Shengli oil fields in Shandong province around the town of Dongying. The new campus in Huangdao is currently functioning while simultaneously under continual construction and enlargement.
