USS Delaware

There have been at least six United States Navy ships named Delaware, after the 1st state of the Union.
- The first Delaware was a 24-gun frigate built in 1776 and captured by the British in 1777.
- The second Delaware was a 20-gun ship purchased in 1798.
- The third Delaware was a 74-gun ship of the line, launched 1820 and burned in 1861.
- The fourth Delaware was a side-wheel steamer built in 1861 and decommissioned in 1865.
- The fifth Delaware was a screw steamer renamed from Piscataque in 1869.
- The sixth Delaware (BB-28) was a battleship commissioned in 1910 and scrapped in 1924.
