Turkish Cypriot State
|
The Turkish Cypriot State was to have been one of the constituent states of the United Cyprus Republic proposed by the failed 2004 Annan Plan for the reunification of Cyprus.
Its territory would have corresponded largely, though not completely, with that of the breakaway (and internationally unrecognised) Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It is under this name that the Organization of the Islamic Conference recognises the TRNC.
