Bus
City
The public city transport in Belgrade is performed by:
- GSP-Beograd-buses, trolleys, trams-City Public Transport Company
- Private bus transport companies
- Lasta-suburban
Note that both private city transport companies and GSB have unified ticket system. Tickets are purchased in numerous kiosks, always cost the same, must be cancelled inside the bus and are good for one ride only.
Intercity
Belgrade is connected by intercity bus lines with all major towns in Serbia and Montenegro.
International
There is a good connection with the cities in Republika Srpska and Republic of Macedonia. The international bus lines are mainly to Germany and Austria, where buses can be taken for all other destinations.
Underground Railway
Underground railway is operated by Beovoz. There are three lines with 23 stations. At the moment only a few stations are built underground.
Air Transport
The airport is located 12 km west of Belgrade, near Surčin. It is connected with Belgrade by the Belgrade-Zagreb highway. 18 foreign airlines have offices at Belgrade Airport.
River Transport
Belgrade is a city lying on two rivers - the Sava and the Danube. However, there are no regular passenger lines on the rivers.
