The Wraith: Hell's Pit

Template:Infobox Album The Wraith: Hell's Pit is an Insane Clown Posse released on August 31, 2004, album, designed to do the complete opposite of its counterpart, The Wraith: Shangri-La, and depict the many horrors of hell itself.

On November 5, 2002, when ICP released Shangri-La, they offered an explanation of the album, stating that it was designed purely for their loyal followers and family, the Juggalos. It was meant to show love amongst the "family" and according to many, has even become the main reason for them finding religion. Two years later, Hell's Pit was released and directed to the world at large.

ICP has made several public announcements, stating that they will continue to follow God and speak against the devil (known as "The Witch" on the album), but warning the public that Hell's Pit will not be an album to be taken lightly. Hell is not a nice place, and to fully warn people about it, they must depict it in all of its horror.

This CD is the final chapter of the Joker's Card and closes out the era of Joker's Cards for the duo known as Insane Clown Posse. This CD was an anomaly in that it never mentions the word the word juggalo, and in many of the songs, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope actually die and go to Hell. The depiction of Hell is a place void of all hope and peace, where everyone who does not atone for their sins and follow the ways of Shangri-La will inevitably end up. The songs on this CD are different from the sound of anything else the group has put out and is something that the entire world is meant to hear.

The songs on this Joker's Card are very different from that of the others. It shows Hell as a very horrible place. The song "Suicide Hotline" is a real converstaion between ICP's Violent J and a worker for a sucide hotline. The last song, Real Underground baby, is a remix that covers all 6 of the Joker's Cards. The song Bowling Balls is included in the bonus DVD.

The DVD is a music video of Bowling Balls, with more of a horror movie approach. The plotline is very simple. Violent J and his brother Shaggy 2 Dope own a bed and breakfast. Two teenage girls experience car problems near the B&B. They call for help from some of their friends and wait at the B&B. After everyone shows up, they start dying one by one. In the end, everyone other then J and 2 Dope die. It's a low-budget horror movie, with humor. But many of ICP's fans will enjoy seeing their idols on a movie.

This release comes in two versions.

  • Version 1 includes a bonus DVD with 2-D and 3-D versions of the mini-movie Bowling Balls.
  • Version 2 includes a bonus DVD with the video for Real Underground Baby. It also includes footage from the Bootlegged in Denver concert.
