The Memory of Shadows (TMoS) was the title for the first Babylon 5 movie intended for theatrical release, in contrast to the six previous made-for-TV movies. Little is known about it, except information that came directly from creator and writer J. Michael Straczynski. TMoS was cancelled in January 2005.

The movie's script was finished, but had to be rewritten due to the death of Richard Biggs, who portrayed Stephen Franklin in the Babylon 5 series. J. Michael Straczynski decided not to recast the character of Dr. Franklin.
The film would have been directed by Steve Beck, and filming was slated for April 2005 in the UK. Warner Brothers had looked into the possiblity of casting characters with persons other than their original actors for at least one character (Galen), however, this had met with extreme criticism from Babylon 5 fans.
