The Maid of the Mountains is a musical play, Lyrics by Harry Graham, Music by Harold Fraser-Simpson.
Produced in London in 1917, at the height of World War I, The Maid of the Mountains, an escapist story set in a mountain bandit camp, was one of the most successful musical productions on the London stage. It went through 1,352 performances on its initial London run, and there were soon as many as 14 companies travelling the United Kingdom. The show was revived in 1921, 1930, 1942 and 1971.
