Talk:Steve Irwin

Are two links to about the same story really needed, esp. as DeadBrain is not a large news source? ~ Mlk 06:58, 7 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I was wondering if I should add something to the page about the controversies surrounding his reptile handling that arrise among those who actually know what they're doing. Should this be on this page or the one for the show? Mokele 8:10, 28th of sept 2004
Qualifications
Does anyone know if Steve actually has any qualifications (or even honourary ones?). Its always puzzled me and my biologist pals.--ZayZayEM 12:22, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
None, officially. He mucks around with stuff and hasn't gotten killed yet is all. In fact, he mucks around in a way dangerous both to him (like I care) and the animals themselves. No venomous handler in their right mind would do any of the crap he does, and he refuses to tranq the crocs once their on land, a ridiculous showmanship stunt that puts their lives in danger. --Mokele
Antarctic "controversy" needs an update
Steve Irwin was cleared of charges relating to his Antarctic adventure, so the page needs an update. Sorry, I'm a new user and I don't have the confidence to do it just yet.
Heres a link to a related BBC News story on the cleared charges: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3896685.stm
Good Reference. I'll put it in for you, but you should try it yourself sometime. It's easy. Johnwhunt 16:55, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)
