Talk:Republic of Prussia

You seem to have confused the Prussian Republic with the only remaining Prussian Province i.e. Ostpreussen in your sectiuon on Prussia in Nazi times. The info iscorrect but the location is Ostpreussen.Zestauferov 12:05, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)
There was never a place called "the Republic of Prussia." Freistadt does not translate as Republic. This belongs under History of Prussia or just Prussia. Adam 12:13, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)
I agree Adam but I have to admit much ignorance about its existence. The Republic refers to the latter after the monarchy ended. As far as I was aware after WW1 Prussia ceased to exist as a power and remained only in the name of Ostpreussen province, but John Kenney and Chris have different ideas. Hence for NPOV we have to split up the article and describe two different entities, one is Prussia as a historical region and province ant the other is Prussia as a political power and state.
