"determinant" or "discriminant"? Search within Wikipedia seems to indicate that the latter is correct.
Seeing as:
- this article is fairly stubbish
- so is Quadratic equation
- I'm planning on writing up other methods of solving quadratics, namely factorization and completing the square
I'm planning on merging content from here into Quadratic equation and leaving a redirect. Does anyone have any objections? I'll leave this a week (note that a Wikipedia-Week, for me at least is more like a month...) -- Tarquin 16:37 Sep 9, 2002 (UTC)
