Talk:Mihai Nadin

Suspended text was on Prof. Dr. Dr. Mihai Nadin. Current work, past work, bio, publications. I am planning to add further entries on anticipation and anticipatory systems. Nadin is significantly important to this field, so the article on his person means the starting point of a broad scientific documentation within wikipedia. All text is authentic and cleared with Mihai Nadin.

Hi mate, I believe you that he is significant, but I was just worried that was a cut and paste from somewhere, but couldn't find it. I don't want to bite you, Can you Login. If you did write the original material then we can keep it, though it will need some minor alterations. see also welcome, newcomers. Cheers, Dunc_Harris| 16:38, 26 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I am the copyright holder, don't worry. It was a cut-and-paste job from OpenOffice. Please propose the minor alterations you mentioned. --JustinCase 18:07, 27 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Reply to Dunc_Harris: Open Office is a word processor indeed. As the text ist authentic, I have no further sources to mention but myself, Mihai Nadin and Elvira Nadin. --JustinCase 21:56, 29 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Ah, I think Dunc misunderstood - I suspect he thinks you were saying "I copied this from the openoffice website" when of course to meant "I typed it in openoffice, and when I was happy I cut'n' pasted it into wikipedia". I suspect when Dunc returns he'll restore the page and all will return to normality. I don't blame Dunc for being a tad suspicious - when nicely written text appears en-mass (particularly when submitted by someone with no track-record at wikipedia) experience has shown that it's often some well-meaning person "helping" us by dropping in a chunk of someone else's work (which naturally is a bad thing). As this doesn't appear to be the case this time we can restore the original (I'd do it, but it's better if Dunc does). Kudos to you both, by the way, on handling this issue so calmly and with good candor - issues like this too frequently turn into vexatious bitchfests. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 23:20, 29 Jun 2004 (UTC)
