The purpose of this page is to index all the characters that appear in fighting games. If there is a general video game character list, then there should be a link to this article.
If two characters share the same name, they should point to the same page, and within that page, a section should be provided for all of those characters. If a character has a surname and another doesn't (eg. Joe and Joe Higashi), perhaps the one without the last name should have a short stub going to the one with the last name.
If a character's name conflicts with some other entry in Wikipedia (eg. Rose, White), the name should be linked to "name of character (video game character)".

Please mark characters with games they are from. Some of them are impossible to identify for a non-fan. For example, "White". mikka (t) 19:40, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)
