Talk:Aredhel

I don't know why "Argon" was put in, but I usually thing of Aredhel being the lastborn and just having Fingon and Turgon as siblings.
- Argon was a son of Fingolfin in Tolkien's later (authorative) writings of the 1960s just before his death. The Silmarillion is for the most part pieced together by Christopher Tolkien from various texts ranging from the 1920s to the 1950s, and he overlooked some later writings (where Argon appears, as well as the correct descent of Gil-galad and Orodreth), left entire stories out (as in Wanderings of Húrin), and in some places completely rewrote the story because the story was not compatible with later rewritten parts (as in the Nauglamir story). Do yourself a favour and read the History of Middle-earth series, especially books X, XI, and XII. — Jor (Talk) 00:22, 9 Apr 2004 (UTC)
