History
Superchic[k] made its dubut in 1999 at an Audio Adrenaline concert in front of an audience of 5,000. They continued to perform at live events throughout that year, self-releasing their first album in 2000, which, after signing to Inpop Records became their first official album: Karaoke Superstar.
Since then, their music has appeared in several movies and television shows, along with rave reviews in both Christian and secular magazines.
Members
The group is headed up by Max Hsu (keyboards, DJ, guitar, primary songwriter), formerly of the CCM group Church of Rhythm. Tricia Brock provides lead vocals for the band.
Other members are:
- Melissa Brock (rhythm guitar, harmony vocals)
- Matt Dally (bass guitar, rap vocals)
- Dave Ghazarian (lead guitar)
- Brandon Estelle (drums)
The Lifestyle
According to the band, "Superchic[k]" is a gender-neutral term meaning this: Anyone willing to do what's right, anyone willing to risk rejection from the "in" crowd to help the underdog, anyone willing stand up out of our armchair society and be counted among those who will do what matters.
