Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 536 people, 169 households, and 142 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 63.7/km² (164.8/mi²). There are 178 housing units at an average density of 21.1/km² (54.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 88.25% White, 7.84% African American, 0.37% Native American, 0.19% Asian, 0.19% Pacific Islander, 2.61% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. 3.17% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 169 households out of which 49.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.0% are married couples living together, 8.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 15.4% are non-families. 12.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.17 and the average family size is 3.41.
