South Coventry is a census-designated place and part of the town of Coventry, Connecticut located in Tolland County, Connecticut. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,381.

The racial makeup of the CDP is 98.26% White, 0.22% African American, 0.58% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.36% from other races, and 0.43% from two or more races. 1.81% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
