Template:Politics of Lithuania The Social Democratic Party of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija) is the ruling political party in Lithuania, formed from the merger of the Democratic Labour Party of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Social-Democratic Party. It has 45 seats in the Diet of Lithuania, and is led by Algirdas Brazauskas.
Its candidate Ceslovas Jursenas won at the presidential elections of 13 june 2004 11.9 % of the vote. At the last legislative elections, 10 october 2004, the party won 20 out of 141 seats.
