Siraiki language
|
Saraiki is an old language spoken in central Pakistan. It is supposed that it is an Indo-Aryan language, although this is disputed. Siraiki shows resemblance to both Sindhi and Punjabi languages. And sure enough geographicaly the area where it is spoken is primarily located between the provinces of Sindh and the Punjab in Pakistan. However, it is not known from which tertiary phase of Sanskrit (whether Vrachda or Upanagra Apbhramsa) it arose from.
Siraiki is alternatively also known as Multani in some areas. Saraiki is also written as Seraiki and Siraiki
