Simon Gray

Simon James Holliday Gray, CBE (October 21 1936-) is a English playwright.
Born in Hayling Island, England, he attended Westminster School, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and Trinity College, Cambridge.
Gray has written over 30 plays, including Butley, Quartermaine's Terms and several TV plays. He lives in London.
In the New Year's Honours List published 31 December 2004 he was created a Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to Drama and Literature.
