Shinto music

Shinto music is ceremonial music for Shinto (神道) which is the native religion of Japan. It is related to gagaku (雅楽) or old festival music. Some terms include:
- Kagura (神楽, かぐら): Shinto music
- Fue: flute
- Tsuzumi (鼓, つづみ): drum
- Kane (鉦,かね): small cymbal
- Miko (巫女, みこ): girl dancer
- Jinja (神社): Shinto shrine. Kagura is played in a jinja.
Taiko music has also been used in Shinto.
Sato kagura are Shinto folk songs.
