Sherwood is an unincorporated census-designated place located in Hamilton County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the community had a total population of 3,907.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,907 people, 1,348 households, and 1,129 families residing in the community. The population density is 1,359.0/km² (3,522.6/mi²). There are 1,365 housing units at an average density of 474.8/km² (1,230.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 96.54% White, 0.61% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.54% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.49% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races. 1.28% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,348 households out of which 45.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.4% are married couples living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 16.2% are non-families. 14.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.90 and the average family size is 3.21.
In the community the population is spread out with 31.1% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 27.9% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 11.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.4 males.
The median income for a household in the community is $71,127, and the median income for a family is $77,816. Males have a median income of $53,393 versus $33,194 for females. The per capita income for the community is $27,965. 1.5% of the population and 0.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 1.5% of those under the age of 18 and 1.9% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
