"She Is Suffering" was released by Manic Street Preachers on October 3, 1994 and was the third single released from the "The Holy Bible" album of August that same year.
According to Richey, the title refers to "Desire. In other Bibles and Holy Books no truth is possible until you empty yourself of desire. All commitment otherwise is fake/lies/economic convenience." Whereas Nicky Wire explains it "It's quite a simple song, both musically and lyrically. It's kind of like the Buddhist thing where you can only reach eternal peace by shedding every desire in your body."
The CD included "Love Torn Us Under" and live versions of both "The Drowners" and "Stay With Me" and the 10" the same two live tracks. The cassette only had "Love Torn Us Under".
It reached number 25 in the UK charts on October 15 1994.
