Seán Flanagan was a senior Irish politician. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 1951 as a Fianna Fáil TD for Mayo South. Flanagan served in the Irish Cabinet on several occasions. He was elected at every election until 1977 when he lost his seat. He was elected to the European Parliament in 1979 and again in 1984.
