Scanners is a 1981 Canadian sci-fi horror movie directed by David Cronenberg. Scanners are a group of people that have telekinetic abilities, who become outcasts when some of these Scanners, led by Darryl Revok, start using their powers in an attempt at world domination. The film was notorious for an exceptionally graphic scene in which a scanner makes a man's head explode.
