Savion Glover (born November 19, 1973 in Newark, New Jersey) is an actor, tap dancer and choreographer.
He was in the Broadway show Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk. The show was conceived and choreographed by Glover and directed by George C. Wolfe. The show received nine Tony Award nominations with Glover nominated for best choreographer and best performer. He also was a cast member on Sesame Street.
In the last two years, Glover has pushed the envelope of rhythm tap dancing. In 2004 he partnered with spoken word artist Reg e gaines and saxophonist Matana Roberts in a John Coltrane-inspired improvisation session, "If Trane Wuz Here". In 2005, he has further challenged the norm, joining forces with a string quartet in "Classic Savion".
