Saul Laskin

Saul Laskin (born 1918) is a retired Canadian politician.
Born in Fort William, Ontario, the younger brother of jurist Bora Laskin, he served as the first Mayor of the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario, from its creation in 1970, until 1972. He was previously mayor of Port Arthur, Ontario from 1962 to 1969. Laskin was the first and only Jewish mayor elected at the Lakehead.
In 1963, he ran unsucessfully as a Liberal in the riding of Port Arthur, losing to the NDP candidate, Douglas Fisher.
