The Endless are seven brothers and sisters, anthropomorphic representations of aspects of life. While they primarily control the aspects of life they represent, they also define the opposite of those aspects. Thus, Death also defines life, Delirium defines sanity, etc. They form a dysfunctional family, rivalry and scheming by the younger siblings interrupting the work of the older ones. Killing a member of the family, or the child of one, is a severely punishable offence. Each of the Endless has a realm, a place of uncertain location, geography, geometry and physics in which they are absolutely sovereign. The Endless are generally uncomfortable in each other's realms, and do not travel between them unless they absolutely have to. Death is the exception, as she goes wherever she needs to. Within their realm, each member of the Endless has a gallery. In the gallery hang picture frames containing symbols of the other Endless, or sigils. Holding these sigils and speaking a ritual sentence is a formal way for the Endless to contact each other, although at times, merely speaking their name is enough.

- Daniel Bustamonte - a victim of the 'sleepy sickness' that results from Morpheus' capture. He sleeps from 1926, then sometime before 1955, wakes up, and stays awake much of the time but doesn't speak. He recovers on September 14, 1988 when Morpheus' escapes.
- Compton - Roderick Burgess' butler.
- Foxglove
- Dr. John Hathaway - curator of the Royal Museum. He steals from the museum's collection to aid Roderick Burgess' magical experiments.

- Ellie Marsten - a victim of the 'sleepy sickness' that results from Morpheus' capture. She sleeps from the time Morpheus is captured to the time he escapes, awaking four or five times a year, and recovers on September 14, 1988 when Morpheus escapes.
- Rose Walker
- John 'Dr. Destiny' Dee - a DC villain whose powers were derived from his use of Dream's Ruby. The Ruby was given to him by his mother Ethel Cripps who, with Ruthven Sykes, stole it from Roderick Burgess who in turn had stolen it from Dream. His name is almost certainly a reference to the real life John Dee.
- Stefan Wasserman (1902 - 1918) a victim of the 'sleepy sickness' that results from Morpheus' capture. Commits suicide because he cannot sleep.
- Joshua A. Norton - Emperor of the United States in "Three Septembers and a January".
- Professor John Hathaway - Senior curator of the Royal Museum. Stole and gave the Magdalene Grimoire to Roderick Burgess in hope of recovering his dead son Edmund. Used a dagger from the museum in 1920 to commit suicide after a stocktake caused his theft to come to light. His suicide note, implicating Roderick Burgess in a multitude of crimes, was never found.
- Ruthven Sykes (?-1936) Roderick Burgess's second in command of the Order of the Ancient Mysteries, until November 1930 where he steals a number of treasures (including Dream's helmet, ruby and pouch of sand) from the order and £200,000 in cash and flees with Roderick's mistress Ethel Cripps to San Francisco. In December 1930 he trades the Helmet with Chronozon for an amulet, which looks like a eyeball on a chain, to protect himself from the magicks of Burgess. Dies in 1936 when Ethel Cripps leaves him, taking (among other things) his protection from Burgess. Sykes is a black bespectacled man with short hair, who is mostly drawn looking quite dapper.
- Ethel Cripps (1898?-1988) aka Ethel Dee, was the mistress of Roderick Burgess, later the mistress of Ruthven Sykes and the mother of Doctor Destiny. Presumably she married someone called Dee sometime after her affair with Sykes, but Dee could be an assumed name.
- Paul McGuire Lover of Alex Burgess.
- Nurse Edwards, carer of Alex Burgess at the time he is put under Dream's curse.
- Ernie and Frederick, the men who guarded Dream when he was a prisoner of the Order of Ancient Mysteries.
- Doctor Huntoon a Doctor in Arkham Asymlum
- John Constantine
- Rachel ? an ex-girlfriend of Constantine who stole Dream's sandpouch from Constantine and became addicted to its effects.
- Leigh a man who works in 'Easy Diner' an American style Diner in London.
- Chas a friend of Constantine, who drives him and Dream to Rachel's father's house so Dream can get back his pouch.
- Johanna Constatine Dream asks her to recover the head of his son Orpheus. Related to John Constatine?
