Template:FFVI character Sabin René Figaro or Sabin Rene Figaro¹, is a fictional character in the SquareSoft video game Final Fantasy VI. The twin brother to Edgar Roni Figaro, he won the coin toss for the freedom to leave the throne and instead became a master at martial arts training with world-famous Duncan. He became himself a master, learning the way of the Blitz. Vargas, Duncan's son and student, became jealous of Sabin, thinking Duncan would leave the school in Sabin hands, and attempted to kill Duncan and fled. Sabin and Vargas met up later and fight, and Sabin wins using his Blitz skill.
Sabin's Blitz command can be used in battles to perform various martial arts techniques. They are executed by selecting the Blitz command and pressing a certain sequence of buttons, much like a special move in a fighting game.
Edgar's twin brother, who traded the throne for his own freedom...
¹ In the game, Sabin's full name is only shown in all majuscules. As such, the presence or absence of any accents is speculation. Official Squaresoft romanization of Sabin's name uses no accent marks.
