STMicroelectronics (abbreviation ST, Template:NYSE) is one of the world's largest semiconductor companies. It is a leading supplier of application-specific analog integrated circuits (ICs), wireless and computer peripheral ASICs, automotive and digital consumer application specific standard products (ASSPs), MPEG-2 decoder ICs, discrete semiconductor products and non-volatile memory including NOR Flash memory. ST also designs and produces microcontrollers.

The ST group was formed in June 1987 from the merger of two semiconductor companies: the Italian company SGS Microelettronica and Thomson Semiconducteurs, the semiconductor arm of French Thomson Electronics. In May 1998, the company changed its name from SGS-THOMSON Microelectronics to STMicroelectronics. ST also includes the US company formerly known as Mostek.

In 2004, ST's net revenues were US$8,760 million and net earnings were US$601 million.
