Information
Rupi's Dance is the fourth 'solo' CD from Jethro Tull maestro, Ian Anderson. This album is a 'solo' album in the sense that the other Tull mainstays aren't present, and Anderson incorporates other musicians to serve the more acousticky and personal feel on the productions bearing his name, and not the seed plow inventor. Rupi's Dance has more than its share of notable Anderson epics: "Lost in Crowds," "Two Short Planks", "A Hand of Thumbs" and "Old Black Cat." While there is an essence of potential lyrical blurring in the overtly cosmopolitan theme he employs, Anderson once again conveys a wide variety of image and alliteration. Full of acoustic guitar and flute lines, as well as a reasonable amount of rock and excellent voice quality, Rupi's Dance could very well cause some 40-somethings to dust off their old ragged copies of rock albums gone past.
